Frontier Café: “Last Friday Music & Arts Showcase” July 31, 2026

On July 31, 2026, I was part of Frontier Café‘sLast Friday Music & Arts Showcase” in Yucca Valley, CA. It was a free event after the café’s normal hours with various local artists. I had a new table display featuring my novel ‘Invertiverse,’ along with its companion book ‘The Art & Making of Invertiverse‘ on a “flippable” stand—giving visitors a personal, up-close look at the novel’s various illustrations. New signage & ornate rocks also dominated the updated layout. Near the middle of the event, I performed a reading from the novel. Overall, it was amazing getting to know the community of artists, art-lovers, and the fantastic live music that was performed throughout the night. I appreciated everyone’s enthusiasm, interest, and support in my work; and hope to connect with them all again in the future. FUN FACT: Several chapters of ‘Invertiverse’ were written at this café many years ago!

On June 28, 2026, I was part of the “Queering The Mohave” reading event at Hi-Desert Artists in Yucca Valley, CA, presented by the Jackrabbit Journal. They brought together four local queer writers & Jackrabbit Journal contributors (including yours truly) to close out Pride month with a reading! I read a crucial scene between the main characters from my novel ‘Invertiverse.’ The free event included brunch sweets, mimosas, & more. It was a delightful time engaging and listening to other local writers!

Filled with local writers, artists, musicians, & more, the Jackrabbit Journal is a celebration of the Hi-Desert creative community. The event was held at Hi-Desert Artists in Yucca Valley, CA where several of the journal’s writers performed spirited readings of their work. I was among them, reading half of the chilling prologue from my sci-fi novel ‘Invertiversefeatured in the issue! It was a wonderful event that included a snack bar & lively conversations amongst the writers, journal creators, and attendees. I was honored to be a part of them, and to have my work in their debut release.

Palm Springs Book FestMarch 29, 2026

I attended the Palm Springs Book Fest at Festival Theaters on March 29, 2026. It was a fun excursion, and it was fantastic meeting all the book lovers who attended. ‘Invertiverse‘ was promoted again. ‘The Art & Making of Invertiverse‘ also made its debut here, offering guests a vibrant glimpse of the illustrations first-hand. “Dennis,” the dog-sized dinosaur, made one last appearance, offering business cards from his pet bowl.
