Here is only a brief showcase highlighting some of the novel’s esteemed professional artists.

Emma Wittwehr

Emma Wittwehr is a dedicated and creative freelance graphic designer with half a decade of experience. Among her most notable achievements is designing a helmet for F1 driver Lando Norris, worn by him for the 2023 Singapore GP. Emma’s portfolio includes extensive branding work for emerging businesses and cover art for authors. Currently, she is working as a graphic designer for a racing team in Vienna, while also pursuing a master’s degree in business law. Emma’s cover for ‘Invertiverse’ features an alluring depiction of the novel’s world, with a mesmerizing vortex at the centerpiece. The title and author name pop from the design, making the book stand out on any shelf.

John Bell

John Bell created this amazing vehicle design. He is an Academy Award-winning art director and conceptual artist who worked on incredible films like ‘Jurassic Park,’ ‘Back To The Future 2,’ and ‘Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.’ His talents are cemented right into our popular culture. In ‘Jurassic Park,’ John created the unforgettable designs of the Ford Explorers and Jeep Wranglers, among many others. His illustration above depicts a very charismatic vehicle that takes center stage in the story of ‘Invertiverse.’

Charlie Chiodo

Stephen Marchesi

Stephen Marchesi is an American illustrator who has conjured up over 500 book covers alone. His work also includes illustrations for magazines, textbooks, and children’s books that have been on Publishers Weekly and Bank Street College Best-Of lists. As a child, author Derrick Davis was enthralled with a collection of chilling stories called ‘Railway Ghosts and Highway Horrors‘ that featured Stephen’s illustrations. Above is one of the pieces commissioned for ‘Invertiverse’ that would have perfectly joined his illustrations in that book.

Michael Vincent Eppinette

Michael Vincent Eppinette is a creature & character designer inspired by the evocative beauty, danger, and diversity of the natural world. Studio ADI gave him his first job designing monsters for Shane Black’s ‘The Predator,’ followed by Dan Trachtenberg’s acclaimed prequel ‘Prey.’ He has also designed creatures, characters, props, and costumes for Carlos Huante, Neville Page, LegacyFX, CraftyApes VFX, and Amblin. Michael’s frightening creature concept for ‘Invertiverse,’ as seen above, is just one of his several fantastic and unforgettable designs.

Roy Govier

Roy Govier lives in Brisbane, Australia, and has studied advertising and computer game design. He previously won a Young Australian national short-story competition and has designed artwork for international best-selling author Matthew Reilly. Roy now works predominantly as a professional graphic artist while still enjoying freelance design jobs in his free time. His various illustrative logos created for ‘Invertiverse,’ including the inventive “PygmyPets” design above, are truly part of the novel’s identity.
